Re: Ur-Quan Masters 0.1 released! [SC2]

Totally concur. I posted a message on their forum about the whole text synch thing. Since nobody really likes sitting and synching text to speech (trust me, I do fansubs) the thought was that you would have a 'distributed subtitling project' where the user would hit a key to mark where the next text …

Re: Windows Longhorn screenshots

ePSXe has been around for longer than XP. The ported FF7 sucks, too. Dunno why you didn't hunt for a PSX emulator, but whatever. The default colours that Windows 9x/NT/2K aren't great, but with a minimal of tweaking it looks pretty good. I changed the default 'grey' colour to 192,192,192, which is …

Re: This forum..

I must admit I didn't actually create the style for this board. It was made freeware by its former owner. I hate the standard vBB colour scheme and didn't have the time to create my own template. That's how that goes. I'll see about finding that Quick Reply hack.

NTSC is broadcast at 30FPS drop-frame (29.97FPS averaged) interlaced, or 60FPS (59.94FPS averaged) progressive. No PVR can tell when a commercial starts. They just have the ability to fast-forward past the commercials, and the ability to cut them out later manually. I thought Sigma had hardware MPEG …

Re: Keyboard & Mouse Commands Triggered?

in PC Emulation
I know all too well what the mushy keyboards feel like. About half of the (Apple, *sigh*) computers in our walk-in computer lab have keyboards that I can't use because you can never tell if you've actually pressed a key in. Arrgh. Terrible things. On the other hand, there are some reallly stiff …

Yes. Remove the cord AFTER you've grounded yourself but BEFORE you start pulling and adding components. (BTW, if you've got a switch on the power supply (not the computer's power switch!) you can just use that instead of messing with plugging and unplugging cords.) The MX line of cards are cheap …

Re: Master of Magic and dosbox help?

in DOS
DosBOX does not support 486/Protected Mode games. Period. (uh, now. *cough, ahhem,Harekiet* ;)) I'm not sure what your problem is. You say "...MOM won't even install in XP" but there are a bunch of others that have been able to get it to install (and even work) fine in that OS. What is occurring? …
