Usually you only see that message when it is a Windows executable file that you are trying to run in DOS. The Neuromancer game I remember was released in 1988 by Interplay, years before there were any Windows games. The executable file was Neuro.exe.

I just hope they don't cripple it like the PS2 Linux content. While it was possbile to create playable content with PS2 Linux, it was only playable by the small fraction that had PS2 Linux, you couldn't create a standalone playable game. Since they don't sell used PC games the shelf space keeps getting smaller and smaller since that is not what they are pushing. Could it be a problem with the copy protection? The screen right before that one is where you are supposed to enter a word from the manual. If you enter it correctly you should see an orc with a thumbs up sign, else it should be a different picture. You can see what I am talking about by renaming …
