The usb supplements and the pinout is correct, but I don't seem to be able to find the correct chipset/usb driver as none of what I've found removes the question mark. 🙁 On intel's site the isn't any 430vx driver as far as my search skills tell me. 😜

Yesterday I loaded XP (no SP) on a Celeron 2.66GHz, 1GB RAM, onboard vga, 40GB IDE HDD. I then loaded SP1 and then SP3 (which includes SP2). On no SP, the system was QUICK! So was on SP1. MSN actually WORKS if you hexedit the .exe and make it think it is another -nonexistent- version :p But all of your friends should do that to be able to use it together.

I'd personally prefer a gaming notebook with Windows 98 SE, XP is kinda not retro enough. Eww. If you're planning on running some games that are known not to work well in XP, that's one thing, but for $deity's sake don't let your decisions be driven by whether or not something is "retro enough". …

You are right, but still my question is unanswered. "What exactly is the bandwidth difference between 256bit DDR3 1GHz and 256bit GDDR3 1GHz? --> and 1GHz 256bit DDR I would add. It surely not the same as today when comparing (G)DDR3 to GDDR5, which is quad rumpled.

Original 6800GT used DDR(1), so no big deal there. And this is 6800 (not even GT), with ultra PCB. What exactly is the bandwidth difference between 256bit DDR3 1GHz and 256bit GDDR3 1GHz? It's not GDDR4-5 that is quadrupled.

I prefer 6800GT's, because they were designed for AGP and don't have the PCI-E --> AGP conversion chip onboard. ;) Yes but they are much harder to find! And expensive and somewhat more complex. The AGP 6600GT can be found online all the time and for little money. I haven't seen 6800GT for a long …
