Bought a cheap CGA card on eBay. There are still people who describe items in such a way that they go under the radar. I also played WarCraft III very briefly and my son played around on my 286. He is too young to really know what he does but the images and sounds are exciting enough as is.

I use Sound Blaster Pro 2 / 16 in combination with a MIF-IPC-A card and a MPU-401 box coupled with SC-55 / MT-32 in all PCs. Works great. No hassle with TSRs (other than SB16 in some cases) / wavetables to be loaded / utilities and so forth.

I dislike jewellery. I used to own some Swiss mechanical watches but gave up on that. I find it very challenging to remember I was wearing one after using a restroom or after waking up in a hotel room.

Cool CRT! I love Philips. Dangerous Dave is a fun game. I never finished it though. Really difficult. Yesterday I got the OEM IBM AGP VGA (nVidia TNT2 M64 32MB) in the mail. It makes WarCraft III run great. Not at 1024*768*32 but 1024*768*16 works fine. 😈

Cool! I hope you did not cut your fingers. I always used to cut my fingers on clone mini towers. And I cut my fingers again on one in June when I picked 2 up from an estate sale. I gave them away. I prefer desktops because they stack. 🤣

I remember a friend had Hercules on a Tandon 8088. Even Space Quest IV ran on it (albeit very slow).

I played Civilization today. I need to use the keyboard. It does not work with my 25PIN mouse on COM2 with the OEM Philips mouse driver. CTMOUSE does not work with COM2 on my 286. IDE HDDs are still pretty common and cheap so I would just pop in a < 2GB IDE. That is what I have in 7 out of 8 desktops. #8 has SCSI.
