Always try blowing them out with an air compressor, oil up the worm gear and clean the read write heads. I've fixed drives I had assumed dead before by doing this.

Yeah I try not to buy from ebay but sometimes I get impatient. 😜 Usually I find that floppy games, or software on floppy diskettes have a greater likely hood that the software is still in the box. With CD games it seems people steal the CD's quite a lot.
