Thanks but that would be too expensive. Apparently those terminals require special pressing pincers. Now i wonder if with a home-made joint there's a risk of damaging the RTC in case of poor contact, i guess there is.

Not okay, as we said you can't install EDO ram on that mobo. Also you don't need the extra ide port. You'll need at least a heatsink, it's not needed for the dx-33.

Of course not, you can hook up to two devices to a single ide port. About the sound card forget about that. I'd just use the "decent sb pro clone".

AFAIK 30 pin EDO modules never existed. I'm a computer technician and never heard of them. About that link i don't see 30 pin modules being mentioned there.

There were no 30 pin EDO modules and 72 pin ones would not work. You can install either 4 or 8 modules, there are two memory banks there. The tseng is the fastest card and the realtek the slowest by far. The tseng is really the only good card there. About the cpu the dx2-66 is faster than the dx2-50 …

Obviously the DX2-66 will be the fastest but for games you'll be limited by the isa graphics card, you'll need a fast one BTW. About cache what for? 128 KB is fine for that isa board. I had that same cirrus card on my 486 but with 1 MB of ram, it's overkill for a 386. Certainly not the fastest isa card but it was fast and even supported 24 bit color with enough ram.
