Re: P III vs P4

I've been looking into building an XP system and I'm trying to decide on a Pentium III or a Pentium 4. I used to have a Pentium 4 1 Ghz system that I sued from 2002 to 2009. It had 4 GB ram and an AGP Geforce 4 Ti something (4200 or 4400) graphics card. But when the motherboard died, I regrettably …

Re: A OpenGL wrapper?

in Windows
There's two reasons why there's this Glide-wrapper-over-3dfx-MiniGL situation for GLQuake: - The 3dfx MiniGL provides gamma correction (at a time where there was no standardized way for desktop color control for everyone else) - Paletted textures (3dfx was one of the few with support for that) …

Re: EMM386 - What am I doing wrong here?

... Do you have a dos=high, umb at the beginning of your config.sys ? If not, add it and reboot . I saw a separate dos=umb and later on dos=high in there. Probably not at the beginning, I guess! Will check tomorrow, spent way too much time on this tonight (again), and if I wake up either her or our …
