Your CPU has signle core. Unless you have multi core CPU, MT32 emulation will not work properly as it is heavy. 😀

ver3 : 1. Added a delay to wait for Windows Aero to be back. 2. Made it work only under Windows Vista / 7 or later. (Aero is not part of WinXP or eariler.)

What is your operating system? I am using Windows 7 x64 with Phenom II X4 B55 (quad core), but no problem here.

Setting volume label as C_DRIVE is intended. LABEL command basically does not exist in DOSBox. Some enhanced SVN builds might include some fixes to disk label. http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/SVN_Builds

Thanks for the update, rcblanke. Do you have a plan to convert the existing java application file to executable (.exe)? I googled around and found some free jar to exe conversion utilities. (dunno if they still depend on java runtime) Some people do not like to install Java Runtime on their machines …

I compiled 20101001 but could not get GTA1 DOS to work in 3dfx mode. It says "What 3dfx card?" Which glide2x.ovl do I need? I just copied the ovl from voodoo driver to the game directory.

You want a smooth scrolling in every game, right? DirectFB will not help because the emulated refresh rate and host one can differ. vsyncrate variable from the vsync patch controls only the emulated machine refresh rate, therefore it should work on every SDL surface output.
