As far as I know (from reading VOGONS), the main difference between the SB32 and AWE32 were the lack of onboard soundfont RAM (512k), Wave Blaster header, CSP/ASP chip and real OPL3 on the SB32. The SB32 is vibra based, and is supposed to have cleaner quality output. There are probably several …

I got one 3Com Fast EtherLink PCI 3C595-TX that I consider collectible being one of the earlier 100mbps cards. It looks like the Fast EtherLink ISA 3C515-TX uses the same chipset supported by some kind of bridge chip. Anyone here who have tested the performance of 100mbps ISA cards?

Got it working now on my MK802IV stick (CPU: RK3188. WIFI: AP6210.) with Picuntu 4.5 (Xubuntu 13.04 based) with an overclocked kernel. Also had to add the snd_seq modules. Now I have to get a MIDI to USB adapter. Okay, best to be as specific for the optimizer as I can. Any success? Tried running …

Looks like the Ubuntu image I'm using is kind of crippled lacking modules such as the ALSA MIDI. Have to figure out some way of how to boot an updated kernel.

I guess it's because PCIe are software compatible with PCI even they differs a lot in the mecanical and electrical part. The Catalyst 6.2 driver for Windows 98 SE/ME actually lists PCIe variants of the X300/X550/X600/X700/X800/X850 cards (they have different PCI ID than their AGP brothers).

I've been testing some NVIDIA cards on the Asus P5B Deluxe (Intel P965) and found out that running 2GB of RAM and reducing it to 512MB in SYSTEM.INI caused a lot of problems (had no problem with this on ATI cards). Does NVIDIA AGP cards act the same doing this?
