Bought a trapdoor cover for the Amiga500 that I am fixing up. The price is ok, and the thing is a bit yellow and dirty. It can always be cleaned, and I will be spray painting the machine outside in the garden next year when the weather is dry and warm.

With stable drivers, I only see a stable Win98. Though I must say that you need 98se and not 98.

I would avoid a 486DX-50 on a VLB system. A 486DX2-50 would be fine though. Reason is that the VLB bus runs synchronous with the bus speed. However, at 50 MHz most VLB cards will choke. My brother gave me two nice retro things today. A Super Nintendo console with 2x super mario all stars, one other game called starfighter or something and two controllers. Then he gave me an old numeric keyboard from the 1960's. It has a blue bottom-part case and is branded NCR.
