Today, I retested my Medion Radeon-9800-XXL to see if it still works. And for that I decided to reinstall my P-III-933 machine. It is an Intel d815eea2 board, with a P-III-933/133fsb, 512mb Ram and YMF-724. The usual floppy/DVD/Pata for drives. Radeon-9800xxl.jpg Anyway... Card works, and works well …

I did a rebuild of an old Compaq, and put it up for sale locally. Installed Win98se, TNT2, V2, 40gb HDD, 512mb Ram, changed the optical drive to a DVD drive and upgraded the CPU from 933mhz to 1ghz. Threw in a keyboard and an optical mouse. They are not the best, though for a start, it will do for …

I will never run Win95 on machines below Pentium-1 and think that machines up to and including 486 are better left for pure Dos. Shure I run pure MS-Dos-6.22 on my P-166. Yet that is how I use my computers. Shure it can be done on a 386, the question is, how masochistic one really are.

As far as I understand, CF cards are better left for Dos. You can allways downsize an platter drive, and if it is a sata drive, then you just run it with a converter. Zalman CFNS-9000 (I think the model number is that.). I own one. It's an LGA775/1151 cooler.
