Perhaps the DVD-Drive needs some cleaning. It can be that the lens is dirty, as well as the lens is not focusing.

Well.... Before a low level format, it had some 200 kilobyte of bad sectors. After a low level format, it had 0 bytes of bad sectors. The computer never froze at any point. I did not use the BIOS option for low level formatting. I found some DOS tool for the job instead. In other words... All that …

Experimenting with CF cards as harddrives. Doing this on a FIC PA-2013 board, in order to get the drive parameters. Stalwart, Facing Worlds, etc UT99 (wich version?) maps with issues on GF3 with 4x.x drivers ? or it's for GF4 too ? K7semm with an 1.0 to 1.2ghz, runs stable with TNT2, GF2 and even Radeon9600se. (In Win98se that is) I don't know about the V3 issue, as I had no V3 at that point, when I tested a K7SEMM Rev-1.0.

Without any harddrives, you can't really do anything with a 386. Might be too fast for XT era games/software. I remember setting up a 386/486 as a backbone bridge back in 95.
