What is IRQ Pull up/down on FIC 486 VIP IO?

I have been reading in the manual, that whenever I use one PCI card, I should set the IRQ to pull up, and when I am not using an PCI card it should be set to Pull down. Then I thought about what this is, and in the last 3 or so day's, I have not really found an answer to this. So... What is this …

Don't go for higher than FX-5000-series. Simply not worth it, as you would be spending too much time getting drivers installed correctly. Post-FX-5XXX series are better left for XP and up. Yes. They are loud. Just not as loud as first generation Socket-775 stock coolers. Those without cobber core, when they run at full load. These drives are about as loud as some of the old 500 to 800 megabyte ide drives. Those wich are running slower than 7200 rpm. What drives sould I look for then? …

Some times I use Os/2 boot manager from eighter Warp3 or Warp4. Other times I use ExtendedFDISK found on one of those Hirens/UltimateBootDisk. Never ever use Microsoft's boot managers, as I find them plain awefull to control.

I have various boxes. One for the rare stuff, one motherboards, one for generic cards, one for data-cables and so on. I know what I have, in the back of my head, so no need for a program or spreadsheet on this.

Why are all the files gone, from the upload folder? I have uploaded a big chunck of megabytes, and I am not going to do it again. It just takes too long to upload complete manual's, scanned at 600dpi. I have deleted them from my local drive, and not going to scan them again.

Was handed over a number of 72-pin memory..... Hopefully they work. Have no idea on if they are FPM or EDO. None are smaller than 16mb each. So they are nice for P1 machines. Too big for 486-class stuff if you ask me.

Depends... I had a digital style with gameport connector back in 1995. Wich I used for shooters and platform games. Then at the same time, I had an analog Logitech Wingman Extreme for flightsims. This was gameport connector too.

Yeah... Loom sounds great. Monkey Island 1 sound's like crap. It is somewere around 50% of the games that sound like crap. When it's working, it just gives a fenomenal sound. For that I love it, for the broken part I hate this card.

Glad you got it sorted. 74-series chips are logic chips, nothing to do with Adlib or the sound producing portion of an Adlib card I'm afraid... It has some really clean and deep sound when it comes to Adlib in games. Though yeah, it has no real OPL-Chip. Must be why Dynablaster is failing this card …
