Re: DosBox recordings Conversion in Virtual Dub

Do you know why the Jazz Jackrabbit video gives an error? (It has something to do with the video size but I can't seem to figure out what's the problem). Width must be a multiple of 2. Height must be a multiple of 2. Valid depths: 24 32 Works fine for me if I set the resize filter to 600% ( …

Re: DosBox recordings Conversion in Virtual Dub

I converted the Hocus Pocus clip to 1728x1080 (no change in frame rate), resulting in a ~70 MB video. I used the x264vfw codec for video, direct stream audio: http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/ Screenshot of the resized video as attachment. This is what I use when I upload DOSBox recording on …

Re: Classic Gaming Arena Dead?

I've seen a few people playing there every now and then but most of the time there's no-one there. Old DOS multiplayer games just aren't that popular anymore. And people use source ports to play them (Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D are still quite popular).

Re: Any of you on Windows 10?

in Milliways
Besides the way windows is going now I dont think it's going to be better for gamers in the long run either But it might be better for developers since Windows 10 universal apps can run on any Windows device (PC, phone, XBone, even on Rasberry Pi 2 running Windows IoT Core). Re: PC speaker echo

Qbix wrote: so does it happen with other emulated sound types as well ? Nope EDIT: If I increase the "prebuffer" option to ~100 in dosbox.conf the echo disappears but the sound effects sound much more high-piched than usual (again, only in fullscreen mode).

PC speaker echo

I'm using DOSBox 0.74 (installed from the Software Center) on Ubuntu 64-bit. PC speaker sound effects have an echo effect in some games but only when DOSBox is in fullscreen mode. Here's a video to demonstrate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKHHCb4dQi4 The effect is most obvious in CD-Man when you …

Re: Elder Scrolls Adventures Redguard

in DOS
I downloaded i5comp but the instructions on how to use this method seem vague. Could you please explain more clearly how to do this? Do I run the i5comp application through Dosbox? and that will run a different kind of installer? It's a Windows executable that extracts the necessary files from the …
