StarTech have a 478 cooler, but looking at it I think it's good up to 2.8 or maybe 3 GHz. I can't stand the boxed coolers, they are a pain to remove and work with...

i have a mvp3 board from TMC and i had no issues with nvidia cards in win2000, tried several cards and ran many benchmarks without any problems. i am not sure if its board difference or os support though. on the other hand, i had as many agp problems with ali5 in win2000 as you did, although it …

I played it recently on a 550 MHz K6-III+ and a V3. I didn't know about this glitch, and only played the first two levels, but it seemed fine. I can try some more soon. The game wasn't silky smooth, but playable like most of the games back in the day 😀

Have you tried setting agp aperture size to 4 mb and agp mode to 1x (if needed) in bios? The board doesn't have an AGP speed option, but I have set it through software. 486 can be awesome for slowing down tricks. Lots of combinations, but every board implements the Turbo a little bit different, so your results may vary 😀 Still, the 486 is extremely flexible.

Yes I will find out soon 😀 The GOG version runs fine unpacked from a folder. And it has benchmarking feature built-in, which is great. It's a massive project though, will keep me busy for a while and I'll do a entire video series around because there is just too much otherwise.

Haha, this is where it all started 😊 Bugger I already started and got the Velocity 100 and V3 3500 results in. Testing the Banshee next. I use Serious Sam SE all the time under XP, didn't think of using the first one 😀 Glide capable games I am using are Turok 2 and Unreal.
