Yesterday I plugged my modern Thrustmaster T.16000M into my current Windows 98 machine and was surprised that it went ahead and installed drivers. Tried some games, and the stick works perfectly. I had no idea! Shame there is no way to use a modern USB stick for DOS games, that would be awesome.

V3 AGP is a good match for SS7 boards, as it doesn't use any "AGP features" and therefore avoids any chipset bugs altogether 😀

Yea I'm using a CL whenever I play around with 386 gear. One cool thing is that, compared to other cards, the image stays centred when you go from command line to 320 x 200 games. Just some general impressions. OAK are graphics decelerators. Great if a game runs to fast 😀 Cirruc Logic are very good all rounders. Fast, cheap, simple. Trident I believe is in the middle of the pack. The other card I don't know. My best cards I have are ET4000 and WD chip cards.

Added this video because of the relevance to the other one: And also: Playing Doom on a 386 Clearly when music and sound is playing, and in later levels, the 386 struggles. Often it's very hard to aim and time the shots. Quite a few pauses when the game loads sounds. Maybe a limitation of 4 MB RAM?

It's just something I want to try out 😀 In the end, I'll stick with Ethernet. It's much faster and works really well. But sometimes you just need to access a file, but don't want to open the case and install a NIC.
