The Pi 4 is still a PWM synthesis DAC, no? Have they upped the switching frequency, improved the output filter, or both? I can't find any concrete information, but I've found that it sounds considerably better than the raspi 3. It's still not as clean as the cheapo usb dac I bought but at this rate …

RasPi 4 doesn't really need a USB DAC anymore. But I do agree, adding a DAC to the circuit would be a logical next step. I just want to get the software to a more complete state before I start prototyping PCB designs. Thanks for the DAC suggestion though, I'll take a look into that chip.

Released a new version of my KOR Soundfont. This one I made specifically for the WavePi. It's only 600mb! https://downloads.kor.ninja/Music/korfontproject/?dir=tiny If you don't mind the extra loading time, this is what I'd reccomend to use on a RasPi 3 or 4 (with 1gb ram or higher)

I did have to make sure cpufrequtils was installed. Without it, the A7 cores stayed at 600mhz and Munt was starved for cycles. I've added a note in the OP of my Munt on Pi 2 thread regarding this. Ok, so in theory all that's left to do is add cpufrequtils to the dependencies in order to fix the …

No, you need a faster CPU than that to run Munt. I would suggest getting the cheapest rpi4 available if all you want is mt32

After further long term testing, I'm running into a LOT of bugs with fluidsynth. So many that I wouldn't really consider it usable with soundfonts over 50mb. I'm probably going to add a script to the installation process that will download a n build a newer version. Since I'm compiling it now …

Try replacing the wavepi.sh in the scripts subfolder with this one... https://github.com/t9999clint/WavePi/blob/mas … ripts/wavepi.sh That should make switching profiles more reliable
