How many partitions and how are they formatted? If fAt16 should be just a mater of typing d: or e: or what ever the drive letter is then press enter.

You should get a massage on boot up that the packet driver is loaded. Your boot up photo doesn't show that. Remove SET C:\ from the line if your packet driver is in the root directory..

Apparently there was msbackup on the supplemental disk of MS Dos 6.0 thru 6.22 menu based but I've never used it. Sounds very much like CP Backup.

I think jo22s main point is he went back to plain fresh install windows 3.1 and the GME just worked without any issues. Could be something in the later wfw kernal or support files that is mucking up your stet up. I'd be interesting to see if the 3.11 core file update break the installation on jo22 …

TCP/IP did not become main stream fo the masses until Win95. If you can get networking ups and working on an old DOS computer you should be happy with that. As long as you can achieve 10-base-T I share that point of view. TCP/IP was pretty much irrelevant until the mid-late 90s or so. Online …

Just put the new lable over the top of the old one.... I just soak old lables with crc 5.56 or similar as it softens the paper and adhesive. Scrape the label off with a blunt knife and wipe the adhesive off with a clean rag soak with a little crc.
