Re: How to make KQ5's audio to work

lol indeed... SoundFX has it's own advantages and disadvantages. I think I can safely say that the disadvantages easily outweigh the advantages. Not the least of which is that it is a commercial product. And lose the "any other DOS game" statement. That's not true for either. If you do a quick …

Re: Discworld

Originally posted by Artemis-kun ...so I can remove it...? or can I just delete it? You might try going into "safe mode" and move it to a backup directory. Whatever stops working is probably what's using it. If you need it back you can copy it back temporarily, then shutdown and restart to activate …

Re: Willy Beamish CD-ROM

Originally posted by meowmix_in_da_hood Anyway, how do I use the amiga version? Wouldn't I need an emulator? You sure would. It would also mean going from 256 colors to 32. Sierra wasn't very good at this either. You can also forget voice samples.

Re: Tomb Raider Gold no atmospheric music??

Originally posted by Col.J.P. It´s the TR Gold and the Sold Out version... IIRC, there were certain versions of "Tomb Raider" that were missing the audio tracks. I believe that some of the "Sold Out" versions were that way. You can confirm one way or the other by using "Media Player" to play the …

Re: Dos 6.x Bochs Image

in DOS
It's not DOS6, but you can download FreeDOS as an .ISO and then use "DAEMON Tools" to mount it like a real CD. It's self booting so you can config Bochs to boot off of the "virtual CD" and install FreeDOS. I don't have a DOS6 image specifically because of the massive pain you described...

Re: TRUB audio CD - A New Hope

Originally posted by Glidos Sounds to me like sapucdex is the way to go, and perhaps I should take the support out of Glidos, or make it configurable off. Originally posted by Unregistered ...but when I exit the game, my video display is all "funky" and I have to reboot to clear it up. Well it's usually related to your hardware...and we have no idea what that is as you haven't told us. Odds are this is a video driver issue. You shouldn't have to …

Re: Yeah

Originally posted by Gonz ...i don't know what the voice setting does so i have it on the max for most games. It's the number of simultaneous digital audio sounds allowed. Each sound occupies a channel. So "4 Voices" means you can hear up to 4 different sounds at the same time. The more "voices" …
