its a dos application that communicates via serial to a digital sampler. either way its complicated MIDI data that requires the intelligent mpu-401 capability (i think) does softMPU somehow link itself to port:330 int:2/9?

UPDATE i just pulled my AWE32/SB32 and removed its driver and now, magically, ITS WORKING! so it must have been a conflict its working in cubase Audio XT with no special driver, i beleive just using built in support in windows 3.11 install package.

i guess there must have been a technical reason why noone ever made a PCI adapter card for the mpu-401 id imagine there might be a considerable amount of other differences between converting a design to a different architecture from ISA -> PCI
