@idspispopd Yes I read the same thing. The problem is that openGL is not included in the ELSA drivers. I tried to install the 3DLabs driver for the GLint chip but the hardware manager rejects the driver. I'm out of ideas 😵

I've installed the ELSA Gloria L 24MB PCI (Glint 500TX / Delta Geometry Processor / S3 Virge) in my "ultimate 1997". The performance is not really exciting so far. But it comes with Direct3D 7 compatibility!

I would go for the Pentium 4 1.6GHz! The lower amount of L2 cache in the Celeron slows it down in 3D games. Maybe you can overclock it to 1.8GHz. I had the same system in 2001 with a Geforce 3 Ti 200.

Cool idea! Does the drive have to be "Toshiba Tecra compatible" or can it be any drive? My floppy drive is a "Toshiba 3.5" FLOPPY DISK DRIVE" (ZA1215P02). It's for the proprietary floppy port on the side of the laptop.
