I have a Pentium-S 133MHz based system. System 7 socket. Can play all games quite nice, but, still too fast for certain games older games. Even with the turbo switch off, Sierra games can't identify the SB card for digital output. Otherwise, quite cool. Just don't run very old arcade games on it.

Yep, Audigy 2 ZS is much more better. I have one too. But not using it. Have to check the install cd, though, if there are drivers for win98. It should have. If I'm not mistaken, only X-Fi cards onwards have abandoned w98 system. Audigy 2 ZS requires W98SE as minimum, I think.

If you need a "fast 98 box", I suggest you go for 6800 or 9800 since these will, imho, provide the best graphics for a Win9x based system. And you've got good sound cards there too. And again, use the S3 Diamond Stealth card for dos games. That's a wonderful card for dos. I'm still looking for one. …

I agree with swaaye. S3 is very comfortable with Dos games and vice-versa. If you wanna use dos games, use s3. If you wanna use W98 games, use ATI RADEON 9800 XT or PRO. Games of W98SE era have almost been saturated with 3D technology, unlike nowadays where the fastest card is STILL not enough. So, …
