Could I recommend that your patches aren't so strict, collector? I don't want to keep my DOS games on my C drive - and I don't want my Dosbox versions in my program files folder.

Kyrandia 3 is a very fussy game when it comes to sound - I recall having similar problems before I had Dosbox because it relied heavily on autoexec.bat-config.sys settings for sound to work I recall.

Wow I didn't know there was a DOS patch for KQ7. One of the reasons I never played it was because it was a very early Windows game and it ran in a tiny window. Going to have to try that patch.

No, what you need to do is create a hard drive inside Dosbox that points to a real location on one of your real hard drives. You'll need at least 5000 cycles to run the majority of DOS games - for Quest of Glory 20000 cycles should be enough.

That's very weird - even my old 386 runs optical mice with a PS2 plug. Shuttle aren't exactly known for their quaility hardware though - they were always a bit of a dodgy brand.

Haha NDS emulators run even slow on my E6600 - I'm afraid to even imagine how fast it would go under Dosbox 😜 Still, I'll give the GBA emulator a go. The Gameboy emulator was nice and fast (played Radar Mission on it).

The reason it asks for the CD is because you mostly likely mounted it without telling Dosbox it's a CD drive or if you did, you didn't add more options to increase emulation of a real CD/DVD drive. It's much simpler to just create a CD image of the CD, and use the command imgmount to mount it in …

😜 well that's what I suggested at first - the in-game settings don't always immediately change dosbox behaviour I noticed so the mouse settings may have been like this as well.
