I'm no expert when it comes to sound, but certain sound options use your Windows instrument table to create the music. General MIDI does this for one - and the resulting music will differ based on the soundcard you have.

Really. I first thought it was caused by bad cheap disks but I have floppies that work perfectly on my old 486 Aptiva - I used them loads and when I use them twice on any new drive, they're broken.

Yeah Lemmings copy protection was a tough one - no need to risk damaging your disk (especially with modern floppy drives, they ruin old disks quickly) so I would just look online. No problem since you own the original.

My Windows 95 was 85Mb though so I guess they ripped out the multi media stuff (remember, the Rollingstone stuff and the like).

I suspect that the floppy version is a downsized Windows 95 because I doubt it came on 50+ floppies.

You need to bypass the check if you have a large drive too, or if there's a file on the disk which can't be accessed. I doubt Win95 will run even if you get to install it though.

I use DBGL myself and it has everything I ever needed and rcblanke was so helpful as to add the features I wanted (like duplication). It's also very handy for testing since it allows for severla DOsbox versions too.

I'd say, stay off any Norton virusses - sorry, software. Except their software acts like a virus, slowing down your system, installing crap left and right, replacing Windows items with Norton variants, and in the end causing games and programs to crash, etc.
