Just a note concerning the CD-ROM drive: I have the same 10x drive in my Tecra 510CDT and it had a similar quirk. It would eject alright but the drive tray wouldn't stay shut but just pop out again. I thought that it might just be fatigue of the spring-loaded locking-mechanism, but then I tried …

Strongly suggest getting an IDE to USB adapter. The ones with both 44 and 40 pin IDE conenctors to USB and a SATA one as well are very very handy.

I think GX100 and GX110 had different riser layouts than the previous GX1, GXi, GXa... so you're stuck with PCI on that.

usually 486 BIOS cannot see CD-ROMs but you can still use them with MSCDEX or equivalent in DOS

Bought 16MB RAM for cheap on eBay. Total would be 19MB... don't really think I needed it but it's cool to see RAM slots on a printer.
