Alright so that HP keyboard is mushy but still okay... good enough for retro use. It's a nice match for the Pavilion AND I found Windows 95 drivers for the hotkeys. Anyone wants it, let me know.

Slick haul. AST made nice machines in the 80s and 90s then they went out of business. 🙁 They were quality!

Also removed the loud NMB 80mm fan in the Pavilion and replaced it with a quiet 90mm Arctic fan that moves air just as well and is much quieter. All I really hear now is hard drive noise.

2 suggestions... ISA network card and FTP for transferring files back and forth... or buy an IDE to USB adapter. Saves me countless hours.

Use a better CPU cooler and stuff a new, quiet 80 or 90mm fan. Measure first. Another way to keep it quiet is to keep it off 😜
