Yeah, I only really installed it on this system so I could run an install for a sound card driver. I don't actually have any other use for Windows 3.x at the moment.

What network protocol(s) do you plan to use with your gaming network ? Tcp-ip ? IPX/spx ? Apple talk ? Token ring ? Netbeui ? It depends on the game, but probably TCP/IP and IPX, for the most part. GPU mining is the main player in the GPU "shortage". There are people that have bots buying up the retail cards as soon as they are in stock and then they are reselling them on eBay for huge markups.

Tested the SoundWave32 Pro driver set and have updated my huge post. Basically the digital sound is of course slow just like the other Orchid drivers.

So I needed to install Windows 3.1 or 3.11 and so I went ahead and installed WFW 3.11. It installed no problem and started up no problem after the initial install. If you want a real 90's switch, I have one of those isa cards that has 4 ports and acts as a switch as well. No idea if it works since I have never tried it.

I guess I should put together a test system with a Xeon E5-1680v2, disable all but one core and see how high of a score I can get in 98se with a 7900GTX. Completely useless but would still be fun to see.
