Could be that a cable or wire plug came loose in shipping. I would try opening it up and reseat all cable and wire plugs. Could also be that it got jolted around too much in shipping and a solder connection cracked or messed something else up.

I use the "ONN" screen cleaning kit with microfiber cloth ("Wally world/Wal-Mart" has it) and seems to work ok. I think the key is never spray directly on the screen, spray the cloth/paper towel first then wipe. I almost always spray Windex directly on the screen. Not a single issue to do it that …

Ok. I do have an Audigy 2 ZS.. I don't have a GeForce 256 DDR though. One of the cards that keeps evading me. Not sure if I have a PCI Gb nic or not. All my regular P5A boards are dead... So P5A-B it is. I could also test with an MVP3 based board as well.
