Why even bother with old hardware with HL2? Pretty sure the last time I played through it was with Windows 10. Not going to have any downsides unless you want to not have a constant 60fps or whatever refresh rate your screen does with v-sync enabled.

I'll get the pics of the inside of the Altec Lansing AMC2000 probably tomorrow. I was wrong about what the main chip is. It is a custom deal made by DSP Solutions. I'll scan the manual as well before I upload the install disk and some other drivers to vogonsdrivers.

What about an easier solution such as a XT IDE card and then use an IDE to CF card adapter that has easy access through a slot on the back of the XT? Then you could just use a CF usb adapter on the newer computer. Then you just copy stuff to the CF card on the newer computer and access that directly …

Maybe weak battery. Might want to try clearing the BIOS settings with the jumper on the motherboard as well. Sometimes that helps with weird issues. Could be the power supply I guess. How old is it? What brand / model?
