Pretty sure you should be able to use a Yamaha YMF7x4 based card as well with the DSDMA driver (the only caveat is the few games that require EMM386 to not be loaded will not have sound). Don't forget the time when nVidia released a driver that caaused video cards to overheat and die because the cooling fans never came on. But in this case, I think it was just a coincidence. I bet you can find that one chip on mouser or similar and replace it if you are good at soldering.

It looks like somebody cut off what I am guessing were DB9 connectors since it looks like both places on the edge of the board have the legs coming through the back of the board. NM... I didn't see the first part of the post the first time.. 😵

The whole... "making an exe" is complete bunk. All it is is a shortcut named Daggerfall.exe" It is NOT an exe. In any case, it sounds like something in the ancient release of DOSBOX is not playing nice with Windows 10 when loading conf files. Can you try changing the shortcut to run in compatibility …

Do you have the chipset drivers installed? Are you initializing in DOS first? Have you tried changing what is stored on the card as far as resources go?

When I was trying to go here with Chrome a bit ago, it was saying that the site uses TSTL or something like that so the site was not allowing the bypassing. Now it is working again. Did the SSL cert get renewed?

Looks to me like the pads are off. Also looks like the traces are on the same side of the board, which is definitely a good thing. Just have to expose the copper in the traces and then solder to them. Pretty easy fix. Any repair shop should be able to fix that in a few minutes if you don't want to …
