I think that if you configure Win7 without Homegroup (just Workgroup) and enable password-less guest access to shares, it should work.

This is a glitch in the DOS version of MK3 that I seem to remember happen even when playing in pure DOS. Cannot be 100% certain, since I find it difficult to test at the moment, but about 90% certain.

I ran a QX9650 on a P5Q PRO for years with just the 4 pins, before I learned that I was supposed to use the 8 pins. Never noticed any difference (and it was even 20% overclocked a lot of the time).
