I just wanted to say that this is very good research you are doing. I wish you had something lower than a K6-2 300Mhz. Like a Pentium (MMX) or even a 486. If you have Win98 executables I might be able to run that for you. Will Win95 be ok, or do your tests require 98 specific functions?

Visual Studio is not a good choice. You will need one that support the WinSDK for Win98. You might have to go back to a Visual Studio in 2001. I'm in central Florida, only about 30 or so miles direct line from launch pads, so I went outside to see it. I saw both the rocket going up as well as the 2 side boosters landing (when they flamed up on the way down). No sonic boom though this time 🙁
