If you Google the number on the chip it'll let you know what exact GPU it is. But from the other markings on it it's a standard fx5700

That is a really awesome system and I love that CD ROM drive. If you still have the original PSU post some pictures of it and we might be able to help you fix it

Streets of sim city, age of empires 1 and 2 with expansions, command and Conquer series, sim city 2k and 3k, gruntz. I've also been playing through all the magic school bus games with my 5 year old son.

This is a great idea I like how small and compact it is. It'll be nice to use optical mice on older systems as well as making it easier to use with newer KVM's.

For the price why not get it and play around but I'd make sure that you have a good CPU cooler and decent airflow in the case. The system sounds like a nice all around utility machine care to post some pictures?

Pulling the heatsink is a good idea you can run the GPU Id number and look that up and at the same time put fresh thermal paste on it.

That looks really cool and it's a great way to save desk space. Are you going to wall mount a monitor for it or use a kvm with the fragbox?

I bought Hot Rod American Street Drag to replace my cd that got damaged years ago. I can't wait for it to arrive so I can play it again.

They were quite a common site at lan parties back in the day. I remember going to quite a few back in highschool and at least a few people had these systems. Man I miss the days of old school lan parties ah the good ole days

I found two broken Voodoo5s. I'm going to attempt to fix one of these. The left one is the one in the best shape. It cleaned up very nicely. The right one has some gouges on the pcb that concern me. I couldn't find their missing slot covers or heatsinks. I assume the Voodoo5s will accept normal …
