The SC-55 is definitely an upgrade, but the SC-7 is still a nice module and a good find. Are you planning on checking it over internally for aged out components?

Yes, Peanut is hard to find. Only ALinux back to 12.x is readily available. I remember using Monkey Linux back in the day, and it can still be found.

OpenBSD is developed from NetBSD which had a start contemporary with FreeBSD, right around the time of USL vs UCB being settled. Theo de Raat was one of the founding devs of NetBSD.

8.4GB will be 1024 cylinders, 255 heads, 63 sectors. 2.1GB will be 4095 cylinders, 16 heads, 63 sectors. 0.5GB will be 1024 cylinders, 16 heads, 63 sectors.

These are some various sector counts for Seatools to enable simulation of older, smaller drives. For my 386, I use a sector count of 1032192 (the 0.5GB limit). For the 2.1 GB limit, your sector count should be 4127760. For the 8.4 GB limit, your sector count should be 16450560. For more info, see …
