0.7V for Si diodes. Schottky diodes are typically less.

When I run that, it doesn't reset the MT-32 to default panning and default instrument settings (and probably more). Is there something that does that? My bad, I didn't read your message as closely as I should have. The MIDI file I provided stops all playback but doesn't reset the device …

Yup, polarity fix would require four diodes or a full bridge module.

You could definitely control it with an Arduino, although I'd recommend driving small signal relays to switch the headers and provide some galvanic decoupling. The turbo switch allows you to do similar to below. Depending on your motherboard jumpers, this can allow you to change clock speed, although a reboot is usually required. On ==| Off |== What's your motherboard?
