I wouldn't anticipate problems, although the RoI wouldn't be great. As mentioned elsewhere, a S939 Athlon64 can deliver vastly more performance through Glide emulation than any native 3dfx card.

Unlikely that you would need AWE synth at the same time as SC-55. SB/SB16 can be done with MIDI in several ways. There are a handful of titles that utilize AWE hardware directly (for custom sounds, etc). This is not supported by DOSBox.

It depends. I always recommend checking the capacitors being replaced for identifying info so the specs can then be looked up. Based on the specs, you can then find a best match from reputable cap manufacturers like United/Nippon Chemi, Nichicon, Rubycon, Panasonic, Suncon, etc.

Yup, looks like it essentially uses wavetable daughterboard pins for MIDI and analog audio but sources power from the ISA bus. I suspect it'll work with a reworked cable in a waveblaster header.

I bet it uses a weird, proprietary MIDI ribbon cable through that pin header at the top of the card.
