Yes, that's logical. Passives will have output, but it will be extremely faint.

Depends if the internal box has all around shielding and how effective noise suppression on the analog lines and power rails is (although this should be roughly equal between the two boxes).

Yes, it's a unique interface for the Platinum Pro. You can sell it on or keep it and get the associated card (which is pretty awesome). Ultimately, it's your choice which way to go.

For what it's worth, HIMEMX is great. Features like mem limiting and the reduced resident footprint are fantastic.I haven't found a compatibility issue yet, although other's experiences might be different.

Maybe in this case, but CMakeList.txt is specifically for CMake which can work with GCC, Visual Studio, LLVM, etc.

Create a configuration file with all the virtual hardware options you need and your initial mount commands, etc. Run dosbox specifying that file: C:\Dosbox\dosbox.exe -conf C:\DosProgs\yaesu\dosbox.conf Change paths as necessary. You can include this in a batch file or a shortcut to save typing.

I can see a few reasons, though ATA100 has the same benefits, it will allow you to break the 127GiB barrier, as 48bit LBA was implemented with ATA100, can provide hard ware raid if your board doesn't, can run IDE Cables along the bottom of the case if you put the card in the lowest PCI slot, helps …

There's not a lot of reason to run multiple dosboxes in my opinion. At most, each title in your collection can run with a custom conf file which can then be loaded with a desktop shortcut or batch file. GOG ships their titles each with a build of dosbox. Is this what you're thinking of?

Bah, I've been doing that a lot today. FAT32 can be safely expanded, but GParted might be clobbering the MBR. I'd try growing the volume and restoring the boot record on a test drive.
