Are the three mini towers marked as a 300GL-6278 or are they another model? Will you need the machines to run pure DOS as well as Win9x?

Except RAMBUS. That transfers 16 bits (or 32 for dual channel) at a time.

P2 chips are installed on a card that slots into the motherboard as are some Celeron and P3 CPUs. They (and their AMD cousins, the slot A) are very distinctive compared to pretty much everything else.

You're presumably using the PXELinux boot framework. If so, there's no reason to not use a larger disk image. 5 or 10 MB wouldn't be unreasonable. http://failverse.com/creating-a-non-standard- … e-for-pxe-boot/

Also, you may be interested in replacements for HIMEM and EMM386 to lower their memory footprint. Look for HIMEMX and JEMM386. They work perfectly as substitutes with the exception of some esoteric features such as port trapping, so you need to stay with the real thing (for EMM386) when running …

I suspect the brown wire is connected to pin 14. I can't see it clearly, but it looks about right in the picture. The Grey wire is connected to port 14.... Could I take that wire and the black wire and solder them onto the green and black wires from an AT Power Supply with the prongs and hook it up …

The adapter should expose two wires for the ATX soft power function, unless they're jumpered in the adapter (but that would be rude).
