I looked up XFX 6800 XT and yup there's one with a bridge chip. I believe that bridge is 1.5/0.8v only, meaning 4x or 8x. Fast writes is strange. I didn't think that was ever required. If you look around you'll see it was usually recommended you disable it because it can cause strange problems. …

Basically I don't think consumer grade RAM needs heatsinks at all and (especially with those fancy 'stylish' ones) they may actually hurt because they block airflow. . I 100% agree, unless your over clocking or have some special ram you don't need anything more then a srtip of metal or good air …

Yes it do, it's a xfx card. The bridge chip is that small chip that alows a newer pci-e gpu to be used with agp right? For me I have to have both 4x and fast writes for the card to work.

Keep in mind here that I'm dealing with 2 30w CPUs that will. It will not always be at full load. Even with my socket 7 heatsink and crappy 50mm fans I'm loading at 45c at 1.9v. Good passive heat sink and stock voltage will be more them good for me.

I thought about getting a heat sink that can take a 60mm fan so I can use nactua fans. I don't think I could fit 80mm fans were the CPUs are. The rear 60s and the gpu heatsink would get in the way.
