my computer is Bondwell Model 8, and 1.44 floppy disk drive is not recognized ;/

Hello Did any of you successful modify modern FDD 1.44 MB to retro 720KB ? Could you please help me ? I have tried my SAMSUNG SFD-321B according to steps 1. Move 0ohm resistor from DC to RD 2. Solder wire as shown at the picture 3. DS0 but without success ;( thank you in advance.

Ah OK. I cannot see on your photo what is installed. You should 1st try to populate only bank 0 completely and leave bank 1 empty. Do you have a CGA card? Then you can try the Landmark/Supersoft ROM, gives you diagnostic output without RAM installed ;-) i will try :) btw what is the model of your …

Have almost the same..and yours has all jumpers labeled. Whats the problem with it? XT-Faraday PAC.JPG what is the "name" of your mobo ? the problem is that there was no memory modules on the mobo there are DIP16 DIP18 and DIP20 sockets without the description. I dont't know how to configure it. …

Cpu will work without cooler but as far as i know , high temperatures are not good for semiconductors, so the cooler is just good practise

this show was at time of XT/286 machines, I have seen a short episodes on one of the youtubers channel but can't remember on which ;( He was explaining how the hardware works.
