Those variable DC voltage/polarity power bricks are useful but dangerous. Its so easy to get the settings wrong and fry something by accident. I killed an external floppy drive with wrong polarity current a few weeks ago. Is something like this fixable?

Card is running well at 75 MHz with the fan off. The chips are still hot but noticeably cooler than before. There's no noticable slowdown. It's running on a 1 GHz Pentium III computer. Results are mixed. It now runs dry but it craps out after about 5-10 minutes. Touching the big 3DFX chips with my finger I see that they are running VERY hot. Is this normal? Why did MS never update DirectX for NT 4.0? Is it because most professional CAD software used OpenGL so there was no demand?

I have a Voodoo2 card which only works when it's wet. Specifically, after it has been thoroughly washed with water/iso alcohol solution and a brush. It runs fine like this, and for a day or so after, but then stops working again. What's going on? Has anyone else seen this problem?
