Personally I would go for the Pentium II 350 MHz because it was what my own machine had back in those days. It ran all of my favorite games just fine. If you want moar power then install a 1.4 GHz Tualatin Celeron.

Reminded of the stories of users accidentally toggling the Turbo mode and then complaining that their computers are 'slow'. Customer support must have got a lot of calls like that in those days.

Performance, stability and security. However it won't run DOS games at all, and will only run a minority of Windows games. One nice thing about NT 4.0 is that it still networks smoothly with Windows 7.
