Putting a Z80 in the C128 was an interesting idea. It allowed the computer to run CP/M business/scientific programs, albeit slowly. "Mom, I need this for school."

Yeah, that's going to be a problem. I have no idea how to get the game working on that rig. (This is why DOSBox was invented.)

Audio stuttering in Worms is an old problem. It may be CPU related or Windows related, as it doesn't happen in slow (>200 MHz) machines running pure DOS. What are the specs of your system?

Also be aware that Windows XP no longer supports DD drives. (HD still work.) You must use an older OS to access the drive.

OK I see. I ran two 550 ti's in SLI for years but this was with Windows 7. I never tried with XP. Is this system stable in Windows Vista or Windows 7? It would be good if we could rule out hardware failure.

I do not miss old versions of Office at all because of the constant Word crashes. Word 97, Word 2000, Word XP, Word 2007. All of them were unstable AF. That was so aggravating. Word crashes very rarely now.

Terminator (1991) allowed you to roam at will across a large area of Los Angeles. It was really groundbreaking at the time. (I guess it's the spiritual ancestor of the GTA games.)

I have a Pentium 4 rig running a SL8PZ and a dual Xeon rig with a couple of SL8P3's. What's interesting about this is that both chips have the same CPUID/stepping (0F4Ah/R0). So it's basically the same CPU in both cases but just in a different packaging (LGA775 vs. S604)

I once fried a game port joystick by hot pugging it. Not certain if it was the plugging that did the damage or if the stick was faulty for some other reason. Nevertheless, I've never hot swapped the game port since. ETA: Maybe I'm paranoid, but I avoid hot swapping anything that isn't a USB port. …
