that its doing its graphics like that says its using text mode memory, which is also CGA or Tandy mode.. Maybe MrBios is not setting up something correctly so Sierra k now which video card to detect.

probably wont see any increase. your constrained by the isa bus speed, not so much memory speed on the card.

Nothing says they cant use dosbox for free... Im not sure why you think gog, etc have to pay to use dosbox. as long as they follow the gpl access license with the legal notices and access to the dosbox soure etc they do not have to pay. nobody does.

well the 8mbgm.sf2 and teh 8mbgm2sfx.sf2 (which includes a sound effects map as well). they were originally designed for the ESI series of samplers, so a lot of the sf2 presets were built for that hardware in mind. the 2mbgmgs.sf2 also contains an MT32 mapping as well as GS maps that the 4mb + 8mb …

I think an MT32 (any version) and an SC55 or SC88 covers pretty much all the ground you need that more modules doesnt really bring much. ob6 wityh strymon must sound pretty awesome. not a fan of the elektron boxes myself tho 😀

the motu is an audio interface, and massive overkill for what op really wants, and is not a mixer, but a nice piece of gear tho. Similar is the focusrite scarlett 18i20 but from memory I think its dual opticals are 16channel ADAT only rather than stereo toslinks.

well non pnp dont really have an init sequence per se, just when you use them you issue some hardware resets to the IO space.
