Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

@Offtopic I'm writing a VSTi instrument plugin that is simply a wrapper around Bassmidi. If anyone would like to try it I have uploaded v0.1beta. This is still a very basic version, no parameter can be saved, only 1 soundfont that has to be loaded every time etc. But it is working for me in my …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

Hi, Thanks for your feedback! Since no major bugs have been detected by James-F in the test period, version 4.2 is released. Only additional feature compared to the test version is hex string input control is replaced by multi-line edit control in Select/Send Custom SysEx dialog (and some minor …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

Hi, That's exactly what I think about the situation, especially this sentence is the one I most agree with :) Keep in mind that more options in FSMP is more reasons for new users to complain about FSMP making their corrupt midis sound bad, or not display a lyrics text. Thanks for making this clear …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

All Roland units including SC-VA will use last correct Drum program if the desired one is non existent. I cannot confirm this. SC-VA definitely uses the last USED program on drum channels. But we use the last (latest) EXISTING program for fallback. So you do not have a consistent behavior in SC-VA. …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

I have checked TestDrive 3 and it really sounds bad with capital tone fallback, but I have found the reason. @James-F: We have decided that drums/percussion fallback should follow the way of using the last valid program. In case of Test drive 3 the used program on channel 10 (drums) is 115. There is …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

enabled it with the command but it still don't work with the 32 bit version i dont use any tweaking software may be its the pro version of windows I'm using Win 10 pro also, it has nothing to do with it. Please, try the following: 1. Copy your 'Münchner Freiheit - Ohne dich (pr).mid' file and paste …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

"test drive 3 creates strange tones when i use fsmp with "use patch info for capital tone fallback" enabled i have to disable it and press reset ones even when it is disabled to make midi sound ok with test drive 3" 'Use patch info for capital tone fallback' do more harm than good if you do not set …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

Hi, Have you read the command's output message? The command worked perfectly :) I do not speak German, but I do understand that 'deaktiviert' means disabled. So you, or some kind of 'tweaking software' disabled 8.3 filename creation on your D: volume. Note, the factory default of this setting on …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

Hi, I'm glad the 64 bit version is working for you, but I think something is not perfect with your system. On all of my systems (including Win10) this file can be opened by 32bit midiplayer (by the mentioned built-in 8.3 short file name trick, so no rename is necessary). mp2.jpg Please try this …

Re: Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player

hello just tested latest fsmp it cannot playback midi files with ü ö or ä in the file name Hi, The 32bit version has no unicode support since it supports even Win9x (ANSI only). Typically ANSI programs can only use filenames that use characters the operating system's current codepage (system locale …

Re: Heads Up: Roland Sound Canvas VA VSTi Plugin!

Hi, If someone does not care about SC-VA authentic/traditional look but prefers readability the font that is responsible for the less than perfect look is ' ODRF_UPR-Regular.otf '. If you uninstall this font SC-VA uses Windows default Segoe UI that makes characters more readable (Notice that with …
