Going to replace edo ram with sdram in this system but I'm confused about what they mean when saying (1)4mx64 and 2mx64 - at the very bottom it implies that I put 2 64mb sticks in bank 2 and 3, but the total ram is still only going to be 64mb?

Actually only the P75 is technically below minimum spec. Minimum spec for Windows ME is a Pentium 150 and 32MB of RAM :) 98lite makes a big deal about meeting 95-level performance by taking out the ie shell, but do you think this would be the case with millenium? E.g it will run it at 95 levels? …

Wanting to run it on a p75 with 48mb ram and a p166 with 32mb ram - mainly for 98's superior usb support. I don't believe it would let those two systems perform at 95 levels though.

Isn't it possible that the ps/2 cables on the end of that vga plug are carrying the ps/2 signals though? I tried using a 14 pin extension cable which stopped them from working. Assuming you are just clipping the pin in the VGA connector itself, it should have absolutely no affect on the PS/2 …

My 19" philips lcd tops out at 1280x1024, my 17" benq goes to 1024 so I was expecting the 15" I got the other day (I've never seen them that small) to only go to 800x600, it also goes to 1024. Does that mean there might be some 19" ones that go to 1600x1200?

If the extension lead is put at the computer side, it shouldn't matter, the PS/2 is already split of then right? It might be a compatibility problem between the motherboard and the KVM switch? DX4-100 is already pretty good for a 486. I'd go for a GD5429 VLB if you can find one for cheap. Being patient pays off when it comes to getting a nice retro rig.
