I remember Doom 3 was run on Voodo2 SLI back in the day. I ran GTA Vice City, NFS Most Wanted for example, they ran quite well on V5. That was on Tualeron 1.2 overcloked to 133 Mhz FSB (1.6 GHz).

I have only had Gigabyte 440ZX mATX board but that did not have any such problems (it had Tualeron 1200@1600, Ti4600 graphics etc) and it was my main gaming rig back in 2002-2005 after which I went to Asus P4GD1+CT479 and overclocked Dothan 😀

Sorry but 440BX is perfectly stable at 133MHz and in case there are instabilities first thing would be to try other graphics (MX440 is NOT good card for 89MHz unlike Ti4200, geforce3 etc) and secondly your RAM timings as in many cases RAM is not stable at 133MHz with toot itgh settings. I have CUR-DLS but not sure when I have time to put together a rig and test (I have several V2's too, including two SLI's), just not enough time. CUR-DLS onboard RageXL is useless as I remember from few years back when I got the board 😁

May I ask why? Mobile Tualatins were still 0.13 process, this adapter would make sense if you make PCB interposer that converts it to Coppermine pinout, allowing to use them on pretty much any CuMine compatible board.

There is no difference, chip is the same. Ati tried to make "new" product by adding the word "Turbo" but was exposed back then.

If your P2B supports coppermines then you can modify pretty much any slotket to work with Tualatin. Just do it properly, most guides are not correct. Use this guide and you are good: http://www.rom.by/articles/S370/_english_index.htm

XG-DLS will work at 133 MHz FSB with only one CPU sadly, could not get it to POST with two CPU's at 133 MHz no matter what. Either of them ran happily at 133 Mhz all day long. And these were 700/2M ones that ran perfectly at 933 MHz.

Nice build! Are you runnin 133 or 100 MHz FSB PIII's? Also, regarding RAM, 440BX supports up to 1GB, did you install 4x512MB DIMM's? It would still recognize only 1 GB.
