3DFX Voodoo 3 PCI Capacitors

I have the below card. The larger capacitors are marked as 10, 6s, then some random numbers (0G2) which I am sure is a date code of some sort. The smaller 2 capacitors in the bottom left though are marked 22, N, 6. I know the larger ones are 10uf 6V but what would the smaller ones be? Are they 22uf …

Re: The Boring Beige Box podcast went 404

Sorry to bump an old thread. This is Rob O'Hara, host of a few podcasts including You Don't Know Flack and Sprite Castle. Boring Beige Box was one of my favorite podcasts, and a big influence on You Don't Know Flack. Many years ago I tracked down Matt through Facebook and friended him. At the time …

Re: MT32-PI and Roland UM-ONE

Hi....I'm utilizing a Pi 3B+. I duplicated the substance of the zip downloaded for the most recent arrival of mt32-pi onto the foundation of the Pi's sd card and added the roms. I connected my UM-ONE to a USB port of the Pi and the opposite end into the midi port of my pc. With this set up in this …

Good DOS game icons...

Re: https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?p=51407#p51407 Bah, never mind. I've just been making my own icons. Not too hard actually, I usually just edit a screenshot in Gimp, cut out the main character or a game logo and scale that down to 32x32 16 colors. Then clean it up pixel by pixel. If anyone …

Mixed Up Mother Goode CD on faster DOS PC

I keep getting the Unable to Initialize Audio error followed by a SCSI error while trying to play Mother Goose CD on a Pentium III running DOS 6.22. I have tried the gosierra.exe fix but all the files are still on the CD itself to run so it doesnt make a difference. Is there any way around this to …

3D Printed case MT32-PI

I was wondering if anyone had an STL file for a 3D printed case for the Raspberri Pi 3b+ that would support a .091 OLED screen? Hoping to use this for my MT32-PI build but I have zero CAD skills to design this myself.

Re: MT32-PI and Roland UM-ONE

Hi, I'm the author of mt32-pi. Sorry about the broken USB; it doesn't get tested as often as GPIO MIDI so unfortunately I missed it! Re: the volume - it should always be 100 when you first boot up. Some game/MIDI song will have lowered it via a SysEx message, I imagine. The volume will be …

Re: MT32-PI and Roland UM-ONE

Everything is working great now! I did just obtain a 128x32 LCD for the Pi. It is working great as well but it did cause me to notice one thing. It shows the volume is set at 72 within MT32-Pi. Is there a way to adjust this in the config file or otherwise? I have noticed the volume is much quieter …

Re: Emulating MT-32 on an RPi2

I have attached a link of a video I just took of my issue to maybe help someone see the problem I am running into. It shows my vintage PC running Space Quest IV. The Um-One cable is hooked up to it and directly into the Pi3B+. The sound you hear is because the connection is made between Fluidsynth …

Re: Emulating MT-32 on an RPi2

I am simply trying to hook up an old computer with midi out to the Pi3b+ using a Roland UM-One cable. I have been able to get this to work using Fluidsynth and Qsynth by going into qjackctl and connecting Fluidsynth to the UM-One. I try the same process with Munt and still nothing.

Re: Emulating MT-32 on an RPi2

Well I went through and did everything manually. Installed the latest Raspbian OS and then installed munt. Everything went smoothly except I can not see the Roland UM-One USB MIDI device inside of munt. There is just a blank window when I choose New Midi port. Is there something special I am …
