can you find any fccid ? it could be possible there is some information under the bord, but that means taking the board out which wouldn't be a bad idea since it need some cleaning 😉

I have notice on some of my old computers that they prefer different “drive select”/ “ID0/1” as I understand there is two different. But not all floppy drives can be changed easy if it doesn’t have pins for it.

I would say non of them are bad, but sadly there is no point of having a real floppy drive when the time comes to an end of the media market for the drive. I would say dvd is kinda already also dead when it comes to computers, how many don’t use cd emulators, even windows mounts ISO’s files now days …

Oh gosh. Where did you get that ? I bought one on eBay from an UK seller and I NEVER received it. I decided to use My current Gotek and just add micro sd to usb in the usb interface and then mod a micro sd to sd cable adapter. Already started on the floppy and drive part until cable arrives 😀
