I use MIDI Commander (https://code.google.com/archive/p/midicom/), and yeah the MT-32 compatible mode is the C/M.

It's fully working on DosBox-staging, both old and new models of IBM CGA cards are supported. The 512 color mode doesn't require perfect timing cycles, so it should work on any emulator / computer (with the IBM CGA obviously). I still have to try on real hardware since my IBM CGA card composite …

Those ports use the Allegro library for sound, that's another option. But any optimization or support for new sound card has to be redone for this library. Yamaha DB50XG, DB60XG and NEC XR385 also have a MT-32 compatible mode (TG300B mode, enabled via MIDI commands). One think will be amazing, i dont know how difficult will be to implement is AudioCD. Thanks to VileR I've been able to create a new mode for IBM CGA cards: the 512 color composite mode (80x100). Lotus III runs fine on CPUs with less than 333MHz, otherwise you are required to patch the executable. Also find it's better to play it on pure DOS. An easy solution is to downgrade the bus from 100MHz to 66MHz you will be able to play it without problems (4x66 = 266MHz).

Unisound cannot load soundfonts: - SB AWE32 PnP and non-PnP, AWE64, SB32PnP. EMU8K initialization included (to enable FM and built-in wavetable sound, so no AWEUTIL /S needed. No soundfonts loading though).
